The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team earned a 6-0 victory over RIT on Friday afternoon to advance to the Liberty League Tournament semifinal against Vassar tomorrow at 2pm. The Saints improved to 10-5 on the season, while RIT falls to 1-8.

St. Lawrence swept doubles en route to the 6-0 win, handily defeating its opponents at second and third doubles and edging RIT at first doubles. Olivia Arroyo and Samantha Miller topped Margaret Barnstein and Lindsay Smith, 8-0, and then Morgan McNeal and Elizabeth Geer beat Britt Amari and Kristen Rice, 8-2. Elkie Vandenbeemt and Shannon Murphy defeated Maite Vera Antelo and Elizabeth McGrail, 9-8 (3).

Murphy pushed it to 4-0 in favor of the Saints when she blanked Laura Arciniegas, 6-0, 6-0 at four. Vandenbeemt and Geer clinched the match simultaneously for their teams at one and four, respectivly. Vandenbeemt beat McGrail 6-1, 6-2 and Geer defeated Arciniegas, 6-0, 6-3.
