Three players posted 6-0, 6-0 shutouts in singles play as the St. Lawrence women's tennis team completed its Liberty League weekend sweep with a 9-0 win over RIT on Sunday afternoon in the Newell Field House.
Olivia Arroyo (No. 2), Samantha Miller (No. 4) and Georgia Comber (No. 5) did not concede a game in their singles matches on Sunday; while Elkie Vandenbeemt (No. 1), Emily Wyman (No. 3) and Lia Petersen (No. 6) were among the other singles winners for St. Lawrence.
Laura Goldhar and Bridget Fleming made their first appearances of the season against RIT, combining for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles. The consistent tandems of Vandenbeemt and Morgan McNeal and Hallie Young and Wyman earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.
The Saints will continue their season with a spring training trip to Orlando, Fla. Next week and will kick things off with a match against Hope College on March 16.
