First-year Emily Wyman came from behind at No. 4 singles to help the St. Lawrence women's tennis team to a 9-0 sweep of RPI in a Liberty League tennis match on Saturday afternoon in the Newell Field House.
Wyman dropped the first set to Amanda Alexander 6-7 (7-9) but battled back for 6-3 and 10-6 victories in the next two.
Elkie Vandenbeemt, Morgan McNeal, Olivia Arroyo and Hallie Young were all double winners for the Saints on Saturday. Vandenbeemt and McNeal combined for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles and then earned 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 and 6-4, 7-5 singles wins at No. 1 and No. 3 respectively.
Arroyo and Young won 8-6 at No. 3 in doubles and each earned straight set victories at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively.
The Saints will face RIT on Sunday morning at the Newell Field House following the Campus Kids Day clinic at 8 a.m.
