The St. Lawrence women's swimming team remained consistent in the freestyle with wins in both the sprint and distance events but the Saints fells at Hartwick in their final road dual meet of the season, 189-95.
Alanna Blackburn led the Saints with three wins, while first-year Taylor McClung added a pair of events wins of her own. Fellow first-year Darla Long rounded out the Saints individual wins on Saturday with a winning time of 1:05.50 in the 100 backstroke.
Blackburn and McClung have been stellar all season long for Coach Clemmer and the Saints in the freestyle and continued that trend at Hartwick. Blackburn won the 50 (25.69) and 100 (55.81) and also added a winning performance in the 100 butterfly (1:04.10) for her third win of the day.
McClung, a distance swimmer, captured the 1000 free in 11:07.92 before also posting the win in the 500 free with a time a 5:32.95.
The Saints will close out the regular season in the Augsbury Pool on Jan. 30th with a dual meet against Utica before turning their attention to the UNYSCSA Championship in February.
