Feb. 1: Senior Elizabeth Canne, sophomore Alanna Blackburn and first-year Julia Carson each won a pair of events to help the St. Lawrence women's swim and dive team to a 141-18 win over Utica on Saturday. The meet was the final competition at Augsbury Pool for Canne and senior classmate Natalie Dellinger.

Seven members of the Saints team earned individual victories, including Nicole Jewett who swept the one- and three meter dives, as the Scarlet and Brown took first place in each of the day's 13 events.

Canne won the 200 freestyle in 2:04.94, just edging teammate Nicole Leinders (2:06.15) who was followed by Caitlin Wiederecht (2:15.41). The senior also won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:38.42.

Blackburn was the top swimmer in the 50 free, as she finished with a time of 25.33, while Jane Moreau and Leah Conners placed second and fourth for the Saints, respectively, in the event. Blackburn's other win came in the 100 free (55.12) as she, Dellinger (57.88) and Heather Foley (58.53) rounded out the race's top three.

The Saints also took the top three spots in the 200 IM, 200 back and the 500 free. Carson won the 200 IM in 2:23.12 in front of Gabriella Marchetti (2:25.23) and Foley (2:25.41). She also won the 500 free in 5:35.17, leading Leinders (5:47.11) and Caitlin Wiederecht (5:54.93) to the wall.

Junior Courtney Goodrich led a trio of Saints swimmers in the 200 back, finishing in 2:20.86 – a 2.85 second improvement on her season-best time – ahead of Julie Deguardi (2:23.84) and Kathryn Whittum (2:29.15).

Marchetti and Olivia Rettstatt were other winners in the pool for St. Lawrence, as Marchetti earned the win in the 200 fly and Rettstatt picked up nine points with a win in the 1000 free.
