St. Lawrence University's women's squash team rolled to a 9-0 win over Vassar in its College Squash Association season opener at Vassar on Saturday, winning all of its matches by 3-0 scores.
The Saints, ranked 20th nationally, will play William Smith in their second match of the weekend at Vassar on Sunday.
In the win over Vassar, Jill Baker defeated Hannah Nice 11-9, 11-4, 11-8 at one, Emily Terry was a 11-3, 11-5, 11-3 winner over Karin Primelles at two, Brigitte Tousignant won 11-3, 11-4, 11-3 over Isabelle Bertram at three and Zoe Kagan was a 11-8, 11-0, 13-11 winner over Cody Scher at four.
Valarie Quan won 11-0, 11-4, 11-9 over Cherylann Muccilolo at five with Paige Buchanan beating Roxanne Ringer 11-3, 11-3, 11-2 at six and Christina de la Vega winning 11-1, 11-0, 11-3 over Ellie Opdahl at seven. Allie Brazo defeated Steph Zhu 11-3, 11-3, 11-0 at eight and Losangelina Batista beat Emma Gluckman 11-1, 11-4, 11-2 at nine. Bobbi Lesser was a 11-0, 11-0, 11-3 winner over Parisa Halaji in the exhibition at ten.
