St. Lawrence University's women's squash team will play Wesleyan University in the 2015 Walker Cup Consolation Finals at Harvard on Sunday after a 8-1 win over Wellesley College in Saturday's consolation semifinals.
The Saints improved to 5-7 on the season with their win over 13-10 Wellesley.
Seven of the nine matches in the consolation semis were won in straight games by the Saints. Jill Baker dispatched Sarah Zang 12-10, 11-4, 11-9 at one, Emily Terry was a 11-7, 12-10, 11-5 winner over Phyliss Lin at two, and Brigitte Tousignant beat Meera Nayer 11-9, 11-7, 11-7 at three.
Zoe Kagan went four games with Gabriella Wynne before winning 11-6, 7-11, 11-5, 11-1 at four while Cristina de la Vega was a 11-9, 12-10, 11-7 winner over Navisha Gupta at five. Val Quan beat Ruby Feng 11-7, 14-12, 11-5 at six. Wellesley's Kate Loftus edged Allie Brazo 7-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-7 at seven, but the Saints closed out the match with a 11-3, 11-0, 11-9 win by Paige Buchanan over Sarah Tammaro at eight and Losangela Batista's 11-2, 11-6, 11-4 win over Jain Mollee at nine.
