The St. Lawrence women's soccer team earned its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1989, as the Saints received an at-large bid and will travel to Williams in Williamstown, Mass. for a first round match against The College of New Jersey this weekend.
The Saints carry a 13-4-2 record into tournament, while the Lions are 12-3-4 and also earned an at-large bid. Both teams suffered 2-1 losses in overtime of their respective conference championships matches, as the Saints took William Smith to extra time after scoring the first goal by a Liberty League team against the Herons all season. TCNJ fell to Rowan to miss out on the automatic bid.
Host Williams, which comes in with a record of 16-1-1, will face Westfield St. (10-6-3) in the other first round match.
