Senior Chloe Knapp scored four goals with three the second half leading the St. Lawrence University Women's Lacrosse team to a thrilling 8-3 come-from-behind victory over RPI Saturday afternoon in a Liberty League game in Troy.

The Saints (9-7 Overall, 5-3 Liberty League) managed just one goal in the first half and trailed the Engineers (6-7, 2-5) by a 3-1 score at halftime but exploded for seven goals outscoring RPI 7-0 in the final 30 minutes to post the victory.

Knapp was the lone goal scorer in the first half but started the comeback with her second goal of the game just 26 seconds into the second half.

Greta Massey tied the score at 3-3 just 18 seconds later on a pass from Caroline Bailey.

Knapp scored goal number three on the day at the 20:20 mark of the half as St. Lawrence took the lead for good. Bailey scored two minutes later and added a second goal just over five minutes later as the Saints took a 6-3 lead.

Knapp scored her fourth of the day with 8:21 remaining and Kara Hurley capped the scoring two minutes later for the Saints.

Knapp, with her four points, and Bailey, with three points on two goals and an assist, led the Saints while Hurley, Massey and Julia Mitiguy each recorded a point for the Saints.

Kayla Schmalz led the team with six ground balls and Olga Lukas made six saves to improve her record to 8-4 on the year.

The Saints wrap up the regular season next Saturday at Clarkson and are still in the hunt for a Liberty League Tournament berth as St. Lawrence, Clarkson and Skidmore are all battling for the final two playoff positions.
