Senior assistant captain Jessica Hon snapped a 21-game goalless drought with the first goal of a three-goal first period en route to a 4-0 St. Lawrence victory over Brown on Friday night at Appleton Arena.

The senior class scored three of the No. 9 Saints' four goals, with Hon, Ellie Williams and Amanda Boulier all finding the back of the net in the win. Additionally, Kayla

Raniwsky recorded a pair of assists and goaltender Carmen MacDonald made 14 stops en route to her 15th career shutout.

Boulier finished with a game-high three points with a goal and two assists against the Bears, while junior Jenna Marks added a goal and a helper of her own.

The Saints overwhelmed the Bears early, outshooting the visitors 23-8 in the first period and holding them to just 3 shots in each of the final two frames. With the win, the Saints extended their unbeaten streak to seven games while also improving to 15-8-3 overall and 9-3-2 in the ECAC and avenging an early season loss in Providence. Meanwhile, the Bears drop to 5-17-0 and 2-13-0 against conference opponents.

"It was very solid team effort tonight," Head Coach Chris Wells said. "It was nice to see some early goals as Brown has always played us hard in the past. We were able to sustain quite a bit of pressure throughout, but Elvin made some fantastic stops down the stretch and competed for every puck."

After controlling the for much of the opening 10 minutes, Hon finally broke through and scored the only goal the Saints would need after getting her own rebound and beating Brown's starting netminder Julianne Landry. First-year Hannah Miller and Boulier assisted on the play.

Senior Ellie Williams scored her second goal of the season at the 12:42 mark on an odd-man rush with Alex Moore. Moore carried deep into the Brown zone before dropping a pass to Williams crashing through the slot for a one-timer that bested Landry high on the glove side.

After Marks buried the rebound from a Boulier shot just seven seconds into the Saints first power-play opportunity of the game and extended the lead to 3-0, the Bears pulled Landry for senior Monica Elvin.

Landry finished with 16 saves in just over 17 minutes between the pipes, while Elvin stopped 42 shots in her 42 minutes of action.

In a scoreless second period, the teams traded breakaway scoring opportunities as MacDonald stonewalled Brown's Kaitlyn Keon after Keon had managed to sneak behind the St. Lawrence defense near the halfway point of the middle frame. Just under two minutes later, senior Jacqueline Wand created a short-handed breakaway opportunity when she forced a turnover at the defensive blue line. She moved in alone on Elvin and got a shot away, but it rang off the pipe to keep it a 3-0 game.

The lone goal of the third period came from Boulier. Her fourth of the season, and first in 14 games, came at the 6:02 mark of the third period on a blast from the top of the left circle.

Kayla Raniwsky won the draw back to Megan Armstrong along the wall, who then played the puck to Boulier on the far point. The Watertown, Conn. native put a move on a pair of Brown defenders, freed up some space on the left side and let go of a quick slap shot that beat Elvin blocker side for the fourth and final goal of the night.

The Saints will look for their third straight weekend sweep with a Saturday afternoon ECAC Hockey contest against Yale at 4 p.m. at Appleton Arena.
