St. Lawrence University's women's cross country team maintained its lead in the NCAA Atlantic Regional poll and remains second in the nation after winning its 13th straight Liberty League championship last weekend.
The Saints, who set a Liberty League record with a near-perfect total of 16 points in Saturday's win, moved into second in the national poll on Oct. 15 and have been there ever since. They trail only Johns Hopkins with Middlebury third, MIT fourth, SUNY Geneseo fifth, Williams sixth, Washington (MO) seenth, Calvin eighth, Willamette ninth and SUNY Oneonta 10th.
In the Atlantic Regional poll the Saints lead Geneseo and Oneonta with RIT fourth and SUNY Cortland fifth.
The Saints are idle Nov. 8 and will run in the Atlantic Regional in Rochester on Nov. 15 with an eye on making a seventh straight team appearance in the NCAA Championships.
