The St. Lawrence University women's crew team opened up the spring season at the Mayor's Cup in Tampa, FL during its annual spring trip. The Varsity 8+ and JV 8+ both earned silver finishes for the Saints.

The Varsity 8+ negotiated the short 1,500 meter course in 5:16.14 for second place, falling to Hamilton which took the top spot with a time of 5:14.80.

In the JV 8+ event, the young Saints finished in 5:38.29 while the Continentals earned the gold in 5:26.99. Also competing was the Varsity 4+, which placed fifth with a time of 6:15.48, while the Novice 4+ placed sixth in its event with a time of 6:59.90.

The Saints will race against RIT on March 31st in Rochester, NY.
