St. Lawrence sophomore Lauren Quattrocchi was named to the Emmanuel Tip-Off All-Tournament team following her performance on the weekend. The Brewster, NY native scored 23 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the floor, 4-for-5 from 3-point range, and added eight rebounds, and four assists.
"Lauren had a great weekend to start off her sophomore season," said St. Lawrence head coach Dan Roiger. "She led us at the point, also played some wing, and played both ends of the floor. Not only did she shoot the ball well, especially from the arc, but she also handled some pressure and got the team into our offense. In addition, in the first game she held a returning All-Conference player to 1 for 7 from the field and the next night had a very tough, big, aggressive guard and held her to 3-8. It sure is fun knowing as a coach that you can ask Lauren to play a complete game at both ends of the floor. She has an incredible work ethic and just loves to play basketball, it was awesome to see all her off-season work payoff in the opening weekend!"
The Saints will take on Cortland State this Saturday, November 23 in the Burkman Gymnasium at 2:00pm. A free HD broadcast will also be available for all St. Lawrence home games this season.
