The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team defeated Plattsburgh State, 89-77, on Tuesday night in Plattsburgh, NY. Sophomore Kelly Legg led the Saints with 25 points, while senior co-captain Casey Capello added 16 points.
The Saints, now 2-1, scored 53 second-half points and shot 64% (9-for-14) from behind the arc in the game. Meanwhile, the Cardinals move to 1-1 and were led by Kathleen Payne's 32 points.
St. Lawrence will be back in action on Friday as it travels to Ithaca for a non-conference game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
