The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team has joined forces with the Lymphoma Research Foundation and together, they are "Trucking Over Lymphoma," as every four minutes, one person is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer.
On Saturday, October 23rd, the Saints' lacrosse squad will demonstrate their "Trucking over Lymphoma", as they attempt to pull a 34,000 pound tractor trailer on campus near Romoda Drive.
"This is a cause that our team is rallying around, and we're very excited about the opportunity to work with the Lymphoma Research Foundation to raise funds for a cure," said St. Lawrence head coach Mike Mahoney. "We're going to need all the help and support we can get, so we hope to have a great turnout to help the fight against Lymphoma."
The event is scheduled to start at 5:00pm, with all donations going directly to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. To donate in advance of the event or if you cannot attend, please mail checks to:
Men's Lacrosse Augsbury Center St. Lawrence University Park Street Canton, NY 13617 Checks should be made out to St. Lawrence Lacrosse, and please include "LRF" in the memo section of the check. Thank you.
