Match 2 vs. Oswego State (St. Lawrence 3, Oswego 0)

In the second match of the day the Saints swept the Lakers, once again by three sets and scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 25-23.

Piper once again led the Saints with 12 kills, combining for 20 on the day, while Kelly added nine and Marissa Parker totaled five. Teppo added seven blocks to finish with a two-match total of 12, while Good assisted on 16 plays and Reagan Collier-Hogan posted a career-high 19 digs.

The Saints took an early lead in the first set and never looked back, posting multiple point runs and leading 20-10 down the stretch. The Saints finished the set on a kill from Britton and a service ace from Julia Wagner.

The Lakers kicked off the second set, battling the Saints point-for-point and taking a 13-11 lead. The Saints rallied and after four ties regained an 18-15 lead and sealed the win off a bad set from Oswego's Alison Berger.

Piper helped the Saints jump out to 9-4 lead in the third set, but the Laker's didn't back down. Oswego posted a four-point run to take a 12-11 lead and posted five consecutive points shortly after to lead 17-15. Another rally to avoid a fourth set helped the Saints with a four-point run of their own and the 25-23 third-set win.

Lauren Fie led the Lakers with 10 kills and one block, while Shauna O'Flaherty added 16 digs.

Oswego held a slight advantage in digs (68-62), while the Scarlet and Brown held an advantage in kills (40-35), blocks (12-2) and service aces (5-1).

With the two wins on Saturday, the Saints improved to 8-3 on the season, while Utica fell to 0-9 and Oswego fell to 9-4.

Piper earned tournament MVP honors, while Kelly and Collier-Hogan earned spots on the All-Tournament team.
