The St. Lawrence men's and women's swim and dive teams will compete in the UNYSCSA Championships at Ithaca College beginning Wednesday, Feb. 19 and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 22. Based on last season's finishes, the women's team enters the meet seated eighth, while the Saints men are seated 12th.

On the women's side, the Saints come in having already seen 11 of the 15 teams this season and defeating four in regular season dual meets. Senior Elizabeth Canne enters the championship meet undefeated in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke in dual meets this season with a combined nine wins, while sophomore Alanna Blackburn won six of seven swims in the 100 freestyle in those meets. Blackburn also earned six individual wins in the 50 freestyle in eight swims at that distance this season.

The St. Lawrence men will likely be led by senior Tad Deatly, who has finished in the top three of every 500 and 1000 freestyle swim in dual meets this season, earning three wins in the latter. First-year student Henry McCormick has also been a consistent top finisher for the Saints in dual meets this season, earning either first or second in each of his swims in the 200 breaststroke. He has placed within the top three in the 100 breast this season in addition to finishing in the top three in all but one of his swims in the 200 IM. McCormick has a total of seven individual victories to his credit between the three events so far this season.

A total of 31 teams are set to swim in the meet, 16 for the women and 15 for the men. The meet kicks off at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with preliminary trials for the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, 200 medley relay and men's three-meter dive all slated for day one. The finals for each of those events begin at 6 p.m.
