Joe Riley improved to 4-1 with a seven-inning three-hitter and in game one and Khifer O'Connor and Devin Robson combined for nine hits in the doubleheader as St. Lawrence University's baseball team improved to 10-7 overall and 6-3 in the Liberty League with a 7-2, 4-3 sweep of Clarkson at Skidmore on Saturday.

The Saints were the visiting team in Saturday's series as Clarkson fell to 7-9 overall and 3-5 in league play. The two teams will play another doubleheader at Skidmore on Sunday.

Riley did not allow a run through the first six innings and had things well in hand when Clarkson scored two runs on walks in the bottom of the seventh. He struck out eight and walked five for the win.

The Saints jumped out quickly as O'Connor reached on a two-out single and later scored on an outfield error in the top of the first. Zane Fish made it a 2-0 game with a solo homer in the second and Robson hit a two-run double in the top of the third for a 4-0 Saint lead. Bryan Palermo was hit by a pitch, O'Connor doubled, and Robson and Fish provided run scoring singles in a three-run fifth to wrap up the Saint scoring.

Kevin Prindle earned the win with 7.2 solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits and Mike Dell'Olio picked up a save in the game two win.

O'Connor opened the scoring with a first inning homer and while Clarkson came right back to tie it up in the bottom of the inning, SLU went back in front with a two run fifth on run scoring singles by Palermo and O'Connor and added an insurance run in the ninth as Mark Syron walked, stole second, went to third on Palermo's single and scored on O'Connor's sacrifice fly.
