St. Lawrence sophomore forward Rylee Smith and first-year student Carmen MacDonald have earned ECAC Hockey weekly honors for their contributions against Clarkson University last weekend.

Smith earned ECAC Hockey's Player of the Week, as voted on by the conference's coaches. The Hagersville, ON native was a part of all four goals St. Lawrence scored last weekend as the Saints went 1-0-1 in a

home-and-home series with rival Clarkson. Smith scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory Friday while assisting on the other two goals. She then assisted on

the lone goal in a 1-1 tie Saturday.

Meanwhile, MacDonald backstopped St. Lawrence to a 1-0-1 mark against Clarkson, posting a .949 save percentage over the weekend en route to ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week honors. The Pictou, NS native helped the Saints extend their unbeaten streak to nine games, the longest in the nation. MacDonald is now 6-3-1 on the season with a winning percentage of .650.

Finally, Cornell University's Amanda Mazzotta was named the league's Goaltender of the Week for her play against Harvard and Dartmouth.

St. Lawrence will take on nationally-ranked No. 2 Cornell in a game that features the two teams with the longest unbeaten streaks in the nation on Friday, January 27 at 7:00pm in Appleton Arena.
