The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association have announced its 2013 Division III All-Americas, and St. Lawrence University captain Cam Scullen and classmate Brian Wilber have earned Honorable Mention status. The duo also earned Scholar All-America honors from the USILA as well.

Scullen '13 and Wilber '13 are the first St. Lawrence national All-Americas since 2009, when PJ Santora ‘09, Alex Slauson ‘09, Peter Carroll '09 and Trevor Scoon '10 were selected.

"It is great to see both Cam and Brian get recognized for their contributions on the field and in the classroom," said St. Lawrence head men's lacrosse coach Mike Mahoney. "They were outstanding leaders of our team and were critical to the success of a defense that was one of the top units in Division III. They were just as conscientious in the classroom and epitomize what we envision in our student-athletes."

On the playing field, Scullen led the Saints with 65 ground balls while chipping in 14 caused turnovers. He's added five points (2g,3a) and was key both offensively and defensively in the transition game. The Hingham, MA native earned First Team All-Conference honors this season, closing his career as a two-time Liberty League honoree and All-America status.

Wilber helped anchor the conference's stingiest defense this spring, allowing the fewest goals in the Liberty League. His defensive efforts included 22 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers while starting in all 15 games for the Scarlet and Brown. His final season produced two firsts, including First Team All-Conference and All-America honors.

Meanwhile, both Scullen and Wilber excelled in the classroom as well and were tabbed by the USILA as All-America Scholars. The USILA Scholar All-America Program was established in 1989 to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III. The Scholar All-Americas are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet. The 2013 list includes 92 student-athletes including seven from the Liberty League.
