Freshman Jamal Samaroo was part of two St.Lawrence University track and field record performances on Saturday at the Oneonta State Spring meet as he ran on the record setting 4x100 relay and set the SLU record in the triple jump.

Samaroo joined Adrian Wilson, Jarell Roberts and Shawn Lillie in running 41.94 in the 4x100 to beat the previous Saint best of 42.18 set in 2009. He had a 14.41 triple jump to win that event and beat the mark of 14.30 set by Chris Burgess in 1996. Samaroo ranks 24th nationally in the triple jump after Saturday's meet.

Jake Fredericks ran 15.02 and finished third in the 110 hurdles while Roberts ran 11.17 in the 100 meters. Roberts ranks 16th nationally heading into the ECAC championships in the 100.

Zack Nelson was third in 9:50.91 in the steeplechase and AJ Blaisdell finished seventh in the discus and ninth in the hammer in other top ten finishes for the Saints.
