St. Lawrence University senior midfielder Elena Rogers was named first-team All Liberty League for the second consecutive season and was joined on the 2011 league all star team by four of her teammates.

Junior Stephanie Sayward, the Saints' leading scorer, and senior defensive standout Devon Shatkin were named to the second team while senior back Katherine Polido and goalkeeper Abby van Geldern were honorable mention selections.

The Saint all-stars helped their team to an 8-6-3 overall record and to fourth place in the Liberty League and the program's second league tournament appearance since the inception of league tournament play.

Rogers, who was first-team all league and a regional All America last year, was the second leading scorer for the Saints with three goals and six assists for 12 points and was also outstanding defensively in the middle of the field.

Sayward led the Saints in scoring with 10 goals and four assists for 24 points and had two game winning goals. She was second among all Liberty League players overall in goals, points and points per game.

Shatkin helped the Saints compile a team overall goals against average of less than one with her outstanding play in the middle of the defense and also contributed offensively as a senior, stepping up in corner kick situations and scoring three goals, two of them game winners. She also had two assists.

Polido was second in the league in assists and had a goal and six assists with her goal, the first of her career, a game winner. She earned all Liberty League honors in three of her four seasons for the Saints.

Goalkeeper van Geldern was a four-time all league selection, earning honorable mention status for the third time. She led the league in saves with 100 in 17 games and was third in shutouts. She finished her senior season with a 0.99 goals against average and a .856 save percentage.
