May 24: Matt Pope '12 has been selected to represent St. Lawrence University in the 2012 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/LaxWorld Division III North/South game. The Newfields, NH native will play in the 71st annual game, which is slated for Friday, May 25 at 3:00pm at Harvard Stadium in Boston, MA.

Pope was selected by North coach Dave Campbell of Middlebury College after a solid campaign in the midfield for the Saints. He finished his senior season with 19 goals and six assists for 25 points. He played his biggest game of the year against archrival Clarkson University, where he scored a season-high four goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists for six points. "This is a great opportunity for Matt and I'm excited that he'll have the chance to showcase his skills against some outstanding talent," said St. Lawrence head coach Mike Mahoney. "He'll certainly represent our program very well at the North/South game."
