St. Lawrence University senior Bryan Palermo was named to the 2014 ABCA/Rawlings New York State All Region team in baseball and was among the nation's toughest to strike out in Division III baseball.
Palermo, earlier named first-team All Liberty League, made the third-team in the All Region selections as a second baseman. He hit .398 in 32 games for the Saints and accounted for 45 runs with 25 scored and 20 driven in. He had six doubles among 49 hits and struck out only four times in 124 at bats. He was 11 for 12 in stolen bases and had a .969 fielding percentage, participating in 20 double plays.
One of four Liberty League players with four or less strikeouts this season, he ranked 15th in the toughest to strike out category nationally.
