A Co-Ed Camp, Residential or Day Campers
Participants will receive instruction from Mike Mahoney and his assistant coaches that include Assistant men's coaches Kyle Benton and John Galassi and professional lacrosse player Jason Crosbie '98. Dave Bradman, the head women's lacrosse coach at SUNY Canton, and Ashley Pike, assistant women's lacrosse coach at St. Lawrence, will offer instruction for the girl's camp.
An example of a typical day:
8:00 AM Wake-up
8:15 AM Breakfast at Dana Dining Hall
9:00 AM Individual Skills Session (Camp begins for commuter campers)
11:00 AM Morning Activity (Strength and Conditioning)
12:00 PM Lunch at Dana Dining Hall
1:00 PM Team Strategy Session on Turf Field
2:30 PM Afternoon Activity (eg. swimming)
3:15 PM Review of Instruction and Scrimmage
4:30 PM Camp ends for commuter campers
5:00 PM Dinner at Dana Dining Hall
6:00 PM Evening Activity
9:00 PM In own rooms
Reminder
Campers should bring : lacrosse stick, helmet/goggles, gloves, mouthguard, shoulder pads, arm pads, swimsuit and towel. Overnight campers should also bring bedding, alarm clock, towel and personal items
Meet the Coach: Mike Mahoney, Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at St. Lawrence University
A former quarterback on the Saint football team and a midfielder on the lacrosse field for St. Lawrence, Mike Mahoney took over the head coaching duties for men's lacrosse in the fall of 1997. Under Mahoney, the Saints experienced immediate success and have continued to excel, winning ECAC Upstate Championships in 2001 and 2002 as well as Liberty League titles in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Mahoney, who currently serves as the Commissioner of Canton Youth Lacrosse, was most recently named the 2012 Division III National Coach of the Year by "Lacrosse Magazine."
