The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski teams competed in the 2015 Saint Michael's Carnival at Sleepy Hollow on Friday and Saturday. The Saints men's team had four individuals in the top-25 of Friday's 10K Classic including Will Frielinghaus and Philip Marshall, who both earned career-best finishes.

Frielinghaus landed in the top-15 for the first time in his collegiate career, finishing 14th in the men's 10K to earn 27.0 points. Austin Meng followed in 19th position, while Marshall jumped into the scoring for the first time with a career-best 21st place showing. The Ottawa, ON native's previous career-best was 30th, as he helped the Saints to a 72.0 point total and fifth place overall.

Kyle Curry rounded out the top-25 finishers for St. Lawrence, while Calvin Swomley (34th) and Blaine Ayotte (36th) also represented the Scarlet and Brown. The men's race was won by UNH, which held off UVM, while Dartmouth's Fabian Stocek earned the individual victory.

Erin Perryman was the top women's finisher for St. Lawrence in Friday's 5K Classic in 40th position, while Kate Mulcahy (47th) and Elizabeth Landry (54th) capped the scoring at 30.0 points. The Saints, who were 11th in the team standings, were also represented by Dana Hatton (60th), Taren McGray (61st) and India Harvey (63rd). Middlebury's Heather Mooney won the individual title and led the Panthers to the team victory as well.

Saturday's Nordic event at Saint Michael's was a Mixed 4x3k Freestyle Relay, with teams taking their top two group finishers for total points. The Saints finished in eighth overall in the team standings with 82.0 points.

The grouping of Perryman, Frielinghaus, Mulcahy and Meng were 12th overall, edging out Harvard to help earn valuable points. Landry, Curry, McGray and Marshall capped the Saints scoring after a 23rd place finish as a team. Hatton, Swomley, Harvey and Ayotte were 26th in the 33-team field.

St. Lawrence will compete again next weekend, Friday and Saturday, February 6 and 7, at the 2015 Dartmouth Carnival at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
