The St. Lawrence men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Whittier College in its second match of the spring training trip in California on Saturday afternoon.
After sweeping doubles against the Poets won each of their respective singles matches in straight sets en route to the sweep. Junior Dean Sponholz pushed his match deepest for the Saints in a 6-4, 6-4 loss at No. 1 singles.
The Saints, now 4-4 overall on the season, will play California Institute of Technology on March 22 at 2 p.m. PST.
