Saints men's tennis bested by Rochester in final non-conference match

Leo Romanetz and Jordan Mamelak led the St. Lawrence men's tennis team in a 7-2 loss to the University of Rochester on Saturday afternoon in the Newell Field House.

Romanetz and Mamelak won their singles matches at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively, as Romanetz bested Jun Yuminaga (6-1, 3-6, 6-1), while Mamelak beat Sahaj Somani (6-3, 3-6, 10-4).

Eric Tecce and Alec Roslin also played competitive matches against the Yellowjackets at No. 1 and No. 5, going three sets.

The loss is the third straight for the Saints, who return to Liberty League play on Sunday with the first of five straight conference matches.
