St. Lawrence University's men's squash team improved its record to 10-2 on the season with a 9-0 win over Hamilton College in the final home match of the season for SLU on Tuesday.
The Saints, ranked fourth nationally, conclude their regular season with matches at top-ranked Trinity and 17th ranked Wesleyan this weekend. The 2013-14 Saints have the best winning percentage and highest ranking in program history.
Six of Tuesday's nine matches were concluded in straight games for the Saints. Tucker Hamlin took the Saints Ibriham Khan to four games in the match at two with Khan prevailing 11-6, 6-11, 12-10 and 13-11 in the closest match of the day and Teddy Black extended Vir Seth to four games at three with Seth winning 11-6, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9. Sebastian Reidelsheimer was also a four-game winner for the Saints, coming back from a 11-9 first game loss to Mark Dudzik to win with 11-4, 11-7 and 11-5 victories.
Moustafa Bayoumy won 3-0 over Martin Bawden at one, Kyle Ogilvy was a 11-6, 11-8, 11-4 winner over Josh Walpert at four, Anderson Good won 11-3, 11-2, 11-7 over Mac Pivorotto at six, Chris Fernandez won 11-7, 11-5, 11-2 over Walker Laurie at seven, Duncan Maxwell turned back Sam Matlick 11-4, 11-1, 11-7 at eight and Will Campo was a 11-8, 11-8, 11-7 winner over Xander Kerman at nine. Mateo Vargas beat Addison Vorse 11-7, 11-3, 11-8 in the exhibition match at 10.
