St. Lawrence University's men's squash team improved to 8-2 on the season with a 9-0 win over tenth-ranked Franklin and Marshall at the Robie Squash Center on Saturday.
The Saints, who moved up one spot in the national rankings from seventh to sixth earlier in the week, did not drop a game in the first eight matches of the day. SLU will host the Liberty League Championships Feb. 6-7, which will include a big match with third-ranked Rochester on Feb. 7.
Amr Khalifa defeated the Diplomats Cole Osborne 11-4, 11-4, 11-2 at one, Moustafa Bayoumy was a 11-5, 11-8, 11-5 winner over Sean Kenny at two and Ahmed Bayoumy beat Pedro Veiga De Alemida 11-7, 11-5, 11-6 at three at the top of the Saint order.
Lenard Puski was a 11-7, 11-3, 11-7 winner over Silvio Soom at four, Hussien Elrayes beat Kareem Nabil Abdel Mawla 11-7, 11-4, 11-7 at five, George Willis was a 11-7, 11-4, 11-6 winner over Samm Fulton at six, Tim Lasusa beat Jackson McCord 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 at seven and Lockie Munro beat Ricardo Machado 11-5, 11-5, 11-8 at eight.
Julian Jervis was the only Saint to be extended beyond three games. Jervis won games one and two 13-11 and 11-6 before Michael Sorochev won game three 11-8. Jervis closed it out with a 11-3 win in game four.
