The St. Lawrence University men's rowing team competed at the 2014 ECAC Championships on Sunday in Worcester, MA. The Saints entered crews in the varsity and 2V 8+ races, both of which advanced to third level finals.

The varsity 8+ used a late sprint to push ahead of Tufts in their heat, finishing sixth and qualifying for the third level finals. St. Lawrence, which went on the finish sixth in that race, was represented by coxswain Lauren Ward, Ted Marr, Francis Stripp, Alec Durkin, Jack Reardon, Michael Brewer, Evan Pierce, Kyle Benzing and Travis Galowski.

The Saints 2V 8+ advanced to the third level finals before finishing fourth overall with a time of 6:47.38. The time helped the Scarlet and Brown top Colby and Hamilton in the season's final race. Coxing the 2V was Christina Robichaud, while rowers included Phil Hodosy, Justin Dalaba, Sam Pratt, Stephen Grow, Chester Hojnicki, Andy Caswell, Dan Tobin and Palchen Wangchuk.

The 2014 ECAC Championships was the final collegiate rowing event for the men's rowing team's eight seniors, including Kyle Benzing, Michael Brewer, Andy Caswell, Phil Hodosy, Evan Pierce, Christina Robichaud and Drew Twitchell.
