Jordan Dow scored his fifth goal of the game with 14 seconds left in the second overtime period leading the St. Lawrence University Men's Lacrosse team to a 14-13 victory over No. 7 Middlebury Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Middlebury, Vermont.

After a Ryan Fisher save on a shot from close range, the Saints (4-0) moved up the field quickly in transition and Alec Dietsch carried the ball over the midfield line before finding Dow cutting across the middle of the offensive zone and threaded a pass to Dow who turned and fired a quick shot past the Middlebury (2-2) goalie for the win.

Dow also scored with 5.6 seconds left in regulation to force to overtime periods.

With less than a minute to play in the fourth quarter, Middlebury, ranked No. 7 in the latest USILA National poll, was trying to move the ball around to run out the clock with a 13-12 lead but turned the ball over and the Saints moved into the offensive zone.

Conor Healey was closely guarded but turned to give him space before finding Dow on the corner of the goal where Dow snuck a low shot into the lower corner of the goal for the tying goal.

"I was really proud of the team effort today," said Head Coach Mike Mahoney. "We got out of the gate quickly which was important against a team like Middlebury on their home field. The guys showed great resiliency to by coming back late after holding a lead most of the game."

St. Lawrence and Middlebury traded goals early but with the Panthers holding a 2-1 lead, St. Lawrence scored six of the next eight goals to take an 8-4 lead midway through the second quarter.

Dow had two of the early goals including a man-up goal. Charlie Duprey and Jeremy Vautour scored a pair of goals each and Healey had a goal and three assists on the first eight goals of the game.

Brett McCormack had a goal and assisted on an Andrew Jarrett goal with 24 seconds left in the first half as the Saints took a 9-6 lead into the break.

Vautour scored the first goal of the third quarter to give St. Lawrence a 10-6 lead before Middlebury rallied for six consecutive goals to forge ahead 12-10 with 1047 left to play in the final quarter.

Dow scored at the 8:38 mark to stop the Panther run and Jon Fairbanks scored from the top of the offensive formation to tie the score at 12-12 with 3:40 left to play.

Middlebury scored with a shot into the top corner with 2:11 left on the clock to take a 13-12 lead.

Healey had a good look from the top of the offense with 1:17 left but was tripped up on the play and nine seconds later Vautour ripped a shot off the pipe and Middlebury regained possession.

In the offensive zone, Middlebury moved the ball around in an attempt to run out the clock but an aggressive Saints defense caused a turnover along the sideline with 30 seconds left setting up the game-tying goal.

St. Lawrence won both face offs in overtime and held possession for a majority of the first four-minute overtime period.

In the second OT, Vautour had a shot from close range with a minute to play but hit the goalie's helmet and Middlebury moved the ball up for a shot that Fisher saved with 30 seconds left setting up the final rush up the field for the winning goal.

"It was just a great game between two very good teams," said Mahoney. "It was a nice comeback late and I am just very happy we got the last goal for the win."

Dow led the Saints with five goals while Vautour finished with four points on three goals and an assist. Duprey had two goals while Healey finished with a goal and four assists. McCormack and Jarrett each had a goal and two assists for the Saints.
