A candidate for the Hobey Baker Award the past two seasons, senior forward Greg Carey has been named among the "Hobey Hat Trick", joining St. Cloud State's Nic Dowd and Johnny Gaudreau as finalists for hockey's coveted trophy. The winner is set to be announced Friday, April 11 at the Frozen Four in Philadelphia.

Carey, who signed a one-year deal with the Phoenix Coyotes and is currently playing with their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates, finished the season first in the nation in power-play points (31), second in assists (39) and third in total points (57). He was the Saints leading scorer each of his four seasons on campus and was the league's scoring champion two times during his career.

A standout student-athlete, he was named the ECAC Hockey Co-Player of the Year and was also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award and ECAC Hockey's Student-Athlete of the Year.
