The 2018-19 St. Lawrence men's hockey schedule features 14 regular season home games along with trips to storied college hockey rinks such as the University of Michigan's Yost Ice Arena and 3M Arena at Mariucci at the University of Minnesota in the first half of the season.

Of the 19 opponents the Saints will face in 2018-19, six finished ranked in the USCHO.com final top-20 poll last season with three others receiving votes.

"Our schedule this season will be very challenging. The highlights on the road outside of the ECAC Hockey regular season portion include early trips to Maine, Michigan, Minnesota and a trip to Las Vegas to ring in the New Year with the University of Connecticut, Air Force and Western Michigan at the Ice Vegas Invitational," Charles W. Appleton II Head Coach Mark Morris said. "We are entering the season with renewed optimism, more experience and healthy in-house competition with our returners and new recruits. Our players and staff are excited and has a lot to prove in 2018-19."

The Saints will open the season with an exhibition game against the University of Ottawa at home in Appleton Arena on Saturday, October 6 at 4 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since the 1991-92 season when they played to a 5-5 tie.

St. Lawrence will then travel to Orono, Maine for a two-game non-conference set against the Black Bears before returning to Appleton Arena for games against Holy Cross and Wisconsin on October 19-20.

This season's non-conference schedule brings some different opponents for the Saints, as they'll face off against Holy Cross for the first time since 2000-01 and Mercyhurst (Nov. 10) for the first time since 2003-04, with added potential to face UConn for the first time ever and/or Air Force for the first time since 1978-79 once the matchups for the Ice Vegas Invitational are decided.

The ECAC Hockey schedule starts on the road at Union and RPI on November 2-3, and the Saints will host three conference games at Appleton Arena in the first half against Yale and Brown, as well as the Friday game of the home-and-home series with Clarkson on December 7.

The 2018-19 season also marks the return of a non-conference game between the two Route 11 Rivals in Lake Placid, as the Saints take on Clarkson in Herb Brooks Arena on Saturday, November 24.

The Ice Vegas Invitational games, which are set to be played in T-Mobile Arena – the home of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights, will be the final non-conference games of the season for the Saints before returning to conference play with RPI and Union at home on January 11-12 for the first of eight home games in the second half.

St. Lawrence will finish the regular season at home against Cornell and Colgate on March 1-2, respectively.
