The St. Lawrence University men's rowing team came into form late in the season, and their impressive rowing continued at the 2013 ECAC Championships in Worcester, MA on Sunday.
The Saints varsity 8+ was fifth in the third final, beating out Hamilton and Skidmore with a time of 6:19.3. Meanwhile, the open 4+ came in sixth overall in the grand final with a time of 7:23 behind the University of Michigan by :03 seconds. Trinity won the open 4+, followed by Bates and a pair of Hobart boats.
The 2013 ECAC Championships was the final event for senior Audrey Strasenburgh, who was an excellent four-year coxswain for the Scarlet and Brown. She was in the varsity 8+ along with Travis Galowski, Francis Stripp, Ted Marr, Jack Riordan, Michael Brewer, Sam Pratt, Talon Lomahquahu and Kyle Benzing, all of whom are slated to return in the fall of 2013. The Saints' Open 4+ was coxed by Lauren Ward and included Chester Hojnicki, Drew Twitchell, Steve Grow and Dan Tobin.
The University of Michigan earned the men's point trophy ahead of Trinity and Boston College. Williams and Hobart rounded out the top-5 at the ECAC Championships.
