Kyle Kobis and Kyle Edwards each scored 17 points leading the St. Lawrence University Men's Basketball team to possibly one of the biggest comebacks in school history Saturday in a 79-70 victory over Union College in a Liberty League matchup in Schenectady.

The Saints (8-7 overall, 4-3 Liberty League) scored just 17 points in a forgettable first half but rebounded to score 62 second-half points to overcome the Union (6-10, 4-5) lead and post the nine-point win.

Kobis was held scoreless in the first half but was on fire in the second half as the Saints chipped away at the lead. A Kobis jumper with 4:35 left to play gave the Saints the lead at 60-59.

St. Lawrence continued the run scoring 14 of the next 16 points to pull away from the Dutchmen.

Edwards led the Saints with more than half the team's points in the first half with nine. Riley Naclerio and Kobis were each 0-for-5 in the opening half but combined for 26 points in the second half hitting 9-of-12 shots from the field in the final 20 minutes.

Edwards and Kobis led St. Lawrence with 17 points each and Willie Zachery added 13 points while Ben Crawford chipped in 10 points for the Saints. Crawford had a team-best 10 rebounds, Zachery handed out five assists and Kobis led the way with four steals.

After shooting just 22.2 percent (8-for-36) in the first half, the Saints connected on 65% (22-for-34) shots from the field in the final 20 minutes including 7-for-9 (78%) from 3-point range.

The Saints continue the four-game road swing with games at Bard and Vassar next weekend.
