The St. Lawrence University men's basketball team fell to Skidmore College, 63-57, in a Liberty League match up on Tuesday night in Saratoga Springs, NY.
With the loss, St. Lawrence falls to 8-8 overall with 4-4 record in the Liberty League. Skidmore, which scored 19 second-chance points off 15 offensive rebounds, improves to 11-4 overall with a 5-1 mark in the league.
The teams traded leads eight times in the first half until a layup with :02 seconds left gave the Thoroughbreds a 34-33 lead at the break. Skidmore led the entire second half, pushing the lead to 10, 58-48, on a three-pointer with 5:43 to play. The Saints were unable to get closer than six points for the remainder of the game.
Senior co-captain Ralph Temgoua and sophomore Al Jones led the Saints with 12 points each. Junior Kyle Miller added 10 points.
St. Lawrence will battle Liberty League opponents Vassar and Bard this weekend. Tip-off against the Brewers is at 8:00pm in Poughkeepsie, NY.
