St. Lawrence University junior forward Kara McDuffee has been named to the D3Hoops.com 2014 All-East Region team. She is the first Saints women's basketball player selected since Jamie Wolfe earned second team honors in 2008.

"Kara had a terrific season and remained one of the most versatile players in the region," said St. Lawrence head coach Dan Roiger. "She gives great hustle and effort on both ends of the floor and is always working to improve her game."

McDuffee was a unanimous first team all-conference selection after averaging a double-double during the season. She went for over 14 points and 11 rebounds per game and totaled 12 double-doubles throughout the season.

The Owego, NY native was also one of the Saints' clutch performers, as she scored a career-high 28 points in a win over eventual-playoff opponent RIT and scored 16 or more points in each of the final five games this season en route to the regular season conference title.

Joining McDuffee on the Second Team were Kaitlyn Read of NYU, Mary Kate Tierney of Ithaca, Becky Hebert of Fredonia State and Brittney Dumas of Hartwick.
