Lawrence University field hockey goaltender Nicole Matos has been named to play in the 2013 Front Rush/NFCHA Division III Senior All Star game in Virginia Beach, VA on Nov. 23.
Matos is the all-time Saint leader in career saves after finishing her senior season with 177, the most for a Saint goaltender since 2000. She averaged 10 saves per game for her 53 game career, finishing with 530, 71 more than the next best career mark.
She led all Liberty League players overall in saves with 177 and in per game average with 10.17. She was second among Liberty League goaltenders in save percentage at .823 and ranked among the top 20 nationally throughout the season in that category.
Julia Croyle was the last Saint named to the Senior All Star Game in 2010.
