St. Lawrence University first-year Megan Kellogg won the ECAC championship in the 1500 meters on Friday, setting the Saint record in the event and becoming a two-event qualifier for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship which will be held on SLU's Merrick-Pinkard Track next weekend.

Kellogg ran 4:28.62 to win the 1500 by nearly five seconds and trimmed nearly seven seconds off the SLU record set by Amy Cymerman last May. She jumped into the top five in the nation with the ECAC win and is now qualified for the NCAAs in both the 1500 and the 5000 where she ranks fifth in the nation.

In other Friday competition at the ECAC Championships Divya Biswal picked up her second title of the meet with a win in the long jump at 5.66 meters to help the Saints finish third as a team behind MIT, which finished with 64 points and Ithaca, which was second with 59.5. The Saints scored 45.5 points in the meet.

Marisa Turner tied for third in the high jump at 1.65 meters and was eighth in 1:03.49 in the 400 hurdles. Biswal finished fourth in the 100 hurdles in 15.00 while Meghann Wood was 23rd in the shot put.
