Bryan Palermo went four for six with two runs scored, but St. Lawrence University's baseball team lost its third in a row in Florida on Monday as Salem State pulled out a 10-8 win.
The Saints, now 1-3, outhit Salem State 18-11, but the Vikings used a five run third inning to take a 7-3 lead, fell behind 8-7 when the Saints scored five in the sixth and seventh and then rallied with three in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
Ben Jenkins took the loss in relief of Matt Dell'Olio for the Saints.
Carter Franz was two for four with two doubles, Khifer O'Connor was two for five with two doubles and sophomore Chris Fernandez went three for four in his first start for the Saints.
The Saints are off Tuesday and will play Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday in Ft. Myers.
