The St. Lawrence University Football team spent the last three weeks among the teams Also Receiving Votes in the D3Football.com Top-25 poll but after a seventh consecutive win this past weekend, jumped into the Top-25 at the number 25 position.
St. Lawrence (7-1 Overall, 5-0 Liberty League) is one of the 28 teams in the country with just one loss so far this season with only 14 unbeaten teams remaining in the country. The Saints sit at the top of the Liberty League standings with just two games remaining on the schedule and a victory in either game would clinch the regular-season title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for St. Lawrence.
The Saints are the only team from New York State in the Top-25 and one of two East Region teams in the national rankings with only Delaware Valley (7-1 and ranked #19) earning a spot in the poll.
The Saints finish the regular season at Hobart this weekend before hosting Merchant Marine at 1 pm Nov. 14 at Leckonby Stadium for the annual Hoffman Cup game.
