Senior Leondre Simmon and junior Chyron Brown-Wallace have been selected by the staff at D3football.com as preseason All-Americans. Simmon was tabbed as a First-Team All-America while Brown-Wallace was selected to the Second-Team.

Simmon earned the honor as a cornerback and also sees action as a wide receiver for the Saints. In 2014, Simmon led the Saints with 10 pass breakups and also had five interceptions on defense. Offensively, he had 16 receptions for 260 yards and five TDs.

Brown-Wallace had 49 tackles from his defensive tackle position and led the team with 15 ½ tackles for loss and seven quarterback sacks. He also forced two fumbles and blocked a kick.

"I am very proud to have Leondre and Chyron be recognized as preseason All-Americans by D3football, said Head Coach Mark Raymond. "They are both outstanding players and great teammates. Their hard work and commitment to St. Lawrence Football has certainly paid off."

Simmon was the lone Liberty League player to earn First-Team honors while St. Lawrence was the only team from New York with two players selected.

The Saints were selected as the #15 team in the country according to the Lindy's College Football 2015 preview and are listed as also receiving votes in the D3football.com preseason poll. St, Lawrence opens the 2015 season Friday night, September 4 at Morrisville and will have its first home game at 1 pm Saturday September 19 against Endicott.
