At the conclusion of the final day of competition at the UNYSCSA Championship meet in Webster, N.Y. the St. Lawrence men's swimming and diving team had earned 306 points to finish 11th in the 15-team field.

First-year student Grant Fisher placed the highest of any Saints swimmer at the meet – male or female – in the 1650 freestyle, finishing fifth in 16:32.26, while teammate Matt Bauer (17:33.82) was 18th.

The Saints had a relay place in the B final for the fourth straight day, as Brandon Walker, Kirby Kaylor, Fisher and Grant Reeder combined for a time of 3:18.13 to come in third in the B final and 11th overall in the 400 free relay.

In a nearly all-Liberty League final, diver James Wilczewski placed 7th in the men's three meter to add to his point total for the championship meet. One of the team's top scorers this season, the sophomore contributed 47 of their 306 points during the four day event. He and classmate Alex Blake – who earned 23 points for St. Lawrence this week – have been consistent contributors to the program this season and will represent the Saints in the Regional Diving Championship next weekend.

Stevens won the state championship, having accumulated 1567.50 points, while Ithaca (1128.50) was second and RPI (959) came in third.
