The St. Lawrence University field hockey team defeated Wells College 5-3 in Aurora, N.Y., on Saturday as five different players scored goals to lead the Saints to their third straight victory. Sophomore Lucy Stillman scored the game-winning goal and added an assist, running her goal scoring streak up to four straight games.

Wells took a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Ivy Cromp, but sophomore Alex Clark, senior Maggie Whelley and junior Camille Burger each scored to give the Saints a 3-1 lead at the half.

Kelly Mason cut the lead to one early in the second half, and Cromp tied the game in the 42nd minute with her second goal of the game, but Stillman scored on a rebound off a penalty corner in the 52nd minute to put the Saints back in front for good. Senior Anna Hughes added an insurance goal with just over five minutes to play.

Stillman, whose assist came on the Saints' first goal of the game, leads the team with four goals and nine points on the season.

First-year Lexi Oskam made four saves to earn the win in goal, while Kelsey Kokosa and Sydney Line combined to stop eight shots for the Express, with Kokosa taking the loss.

St. Lawrence held a 21-8 edge in shots and had 16 penalty corners to Wells' four.

The Saints, now 3-1 on the season, head will face Lebanon Valley and Manhattanville at the William Smith Tournament next weekend.
