Masha Kolesnikova hit a record-breaking milestone today after recording 15 kills in today's matches to reach a career-total of 1,006 kills. Kolesnikova now sits in fifth place in the Saint's all-time career record book. The St. Lawrence University volleyball team dropped two matches on day two of the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament in Naperville, Illinois. The Saints fell to Bethel University 3-0 in their first match and Central College 3-1 in the final match of the weekend.

"I'm very happy for and proud of Masha for her accomplishment," said head coach Shelly Roiger. "She's been such a steady player for us throughout her career and she will certainly leave the program as one of the best to wear a Saints' uniform."

Match 1 vs. Bethel University –

The Royals topped the Saints after three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-15.

Amanda Teppo led the Saints with six kills while Marissa Parker and Masha Kolesnikova tallied four apiece. Katie Kull recorded two service aces, three blocks, 14 assists and seven digs, posting team-highs in each of the categories.

Bethel held the lead in all three sets against the Saints. In the second set the Saints attempted a late rally tallying three-straight points, but the Royals sealed the match with a Kill from Tina Hoppe.

The Royals were led by Kristin Stern with 11 kills. Bailey Israelson served up three aces and added 23 assists, while Brooke Olstad added 11 digs for Bethel.

Match 2 vs. Central College -

St. Lawrence fell to the Dutch after four sets by scores of 16-25, 19-25, 25-21 and 17-25.

Kolesnikova's 11 kills against Central College lifted her to the Saints' record books this afternoon. Julia Wagner also tallied 11 kills, while Grace Kelly added eight. Kull added another 31 assists and 14 digs.

Central College took an early 2-0 lead after claiming the first two sets. The third set was a point-for-point battle, but the Saints managed to take a 20-17 lead down the stretch and capitalized on some missed opportunities by the Dutch.

Mollie Mason and Hana Edgerton finished with 11 kills each for the Dutch, while Regan Nelson added three service aces and 38 assists.

"We faced some excellent competition this weekend and there's no doubt in my mind that we will be better prepared for the rest of the season as a result," Roiger continued. "We look forward to returning to Liberty League play, protecting our house and honoring our seniors on Saturday."

The Saints will host Vassar in a Liberty League match on Oct. 20th at 7 p.m. and face off against Bard on the 21st for senior day.
