Saint's Cymerman, 4x400 win at RIT Invitational

Senior Amy Cymerman won the mile and junior Divya Biswal had three top three performances as St. Lawrence University's women's indoor track and field team warmed up for the upcoming New York State Collegiate Track Conference indoor championships with participation in the RIT Orange and Brown Invitational Friday night.

Cymerman ran 5:03.10 to emerge as the lone Saint individual champion in the non-scoring event. Ariel Beccia finished sixth and Kelsey Leder was tenth in the mile to join Cymerman in a strong showing in the event. Biswal had another busy night, finishing third in 8.07 in the 60 meters with Hannah Kinsey fifth, third in the long jump at 5.36 meters and second in the triple jump at 11.66 meters.

The Saint 4x400 relay team of Kinsey, Turner, Ketura Mason and Carly Stine won that event with a time of 4:02.54.

Turner added a second with a 1.60 meter jump in the high jump, Lisa Grohn was secon din the 800 in 2:21.74 and Toriah Koutras was third and Kristen Javanelly fourth in the 1000, Koutras running 3:11.88. Molly Lennon finished third in the 500 in 1:23.41 and Katherine Vincelette was ninth in the 400 for the other Saint top ten finishes.

The Saints will host the NYSCTC Championship at the Newell Field House Friday and Saturday with the men's and women's multi-event competitions getting underway Friday morning.
