Freshman Nick Crawford neared the top 25 in Division III nationally and senior Jake Fredericks also turned in a solid time in competition in the 400 meter hurdles at the Penn Relays on Friday.

Crawford finished 5th in his section with a time of 54.70 and was 34th overall, and Fredericks, running in the same heat, finished seventh in 56.14 and was 42nd overall. The top 20 times qualify for the NCAA championship and Crawford is fractions of a second out of a top-20 position.

The Saint 4x100 relay team of Adrian Wilson, Omaru Kabia, Shawn Lillie and Andy Fisher finished 57th overall in 43.49 and were seventh in their heat which was won by Cornell and included Temple and Texas A&M. The 4x400 relay team of Fredericks, Chris Payton, Harrison Sloan and Crawford ran 3:24.57 and finished 57th overall and seventh in its heat on Friday.

In other Friday action for the men, Mike Scott competed in the high jump, but did not have a mark as he missed in three attempts at the opening height of 1.96 meters.

The Saints will compete in the NYSCTC multi-event championshio at Ithaca Sunday and Monday and in the Cornell Invitational on Sunday before hosting the NYSCTC Championship next weekend.
