The St. Lawrence University men's crew team was swept by Hamilton College in a dual race on the St. Lawrence River on Saturday.
St. Lawrence's novice 8+ competed against Hamilton's varsity 8+ and negotiated the 2000 meter course in 6:02.0, less than four seconds behind the Continentals who finished in 5:58.7.
Hamilton also captured first place in the novice 8+ event, finishing in 6:17.7 with St. Lawrence's second novice 8+ crossing in 6:19.9.
Times were not recorded in the varsity 4 event, though the Continentals crossed :08 seconds ahead of the Saints.
St. Lawrence will be back in action on April 28th at the Liberty League Championships held in Saratoga Springs, NY.
