The Little Rock Touchdown Club and Wright, Lindsey, Jennings announced the finalists for the fourth annual Cliff Harris Award. St. Lawrence University senior Chyron Brown-Wallace has been included on that list of finalists for the award that goes to the nation's top small college defensive player of the year.
The overall winner will be announced Dec. 24 and honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club's annual awards banquet January 19, 2017 featuring guest speaker Archie Manning.
The selection committee for 2016 includes Roger Staubach, Lee Roy Jordan, Walt Garrison, Gene Stallings, Everson Walls, Charlie Waters, Bill Bates, Gil Brandt, Mel Renfro, Jim Hart, Cornell Green and Cliff Harris.
Brown-Wallace is one of 29 finalists from the NCAA Division III level and was the leader on the St. Lawrence defense that ranked among the top-10 in the country in several different categories including total defense, pass efficiency defense, scoring defense and red zone defense.
